Picture story:
traverse beams voor sea lock IJmuiden

For the new construction of the Sea Lock in IJmuiden, we transported 2 traverse beams of 32 meters between Beverwijk and Lelystad. One of our employees captured this project beautifully on camera.

For this transport, one of our contractors visited the site in advance to map out a route and to see if some traffic signs had to be removed. Next, it was examined whether ramps were necessary to avoid damaging the roadside, which turned out to be the case.

We placed 10 road plates in Beverwijk with a hired car. In Lelystad we could not enter the site in question because there was too little room to make a turn. Fortunately we had our own box truck with us to place 30 ramps so we could unload from a lawn parallel to the gate with 2 Liebherr telescopic cranes.
